Torres thrashes Rovers
With premier league matches going to end, all the teams are in pressure to place them in good position in the table. Liverpool and Manchester United were the contesters for the title and both teams are under pressure that they must win their matches to touch the championship title. Under these circumstances, Liverpool faced Blackburn Rovers in Anfield. From the start of the game, Liverpool dominated and Torres used his good chances and converted into goals without hesitation. He was very well supported by Agger who scored his goals too. Altogether it was a wonderful game for Liverpool thrashing Blackburn Rovers with four goals to none. This was a strong message to the champions side Manchester United. Manchester city stunned by Torres

After losing the Championship title to Manchester United in a close chase, Chelsea was back in action in Premier league. In the second week of the league, Chelsea faced Liverpool in Anfield. United lost to the Reds
After a comfortable win against Sunderland, Liverpool has to face champion side Manchester United in their home game in Anfield. Fans are on the edge of their seats as it was the clash of the teams on the dominating four in the Barclays premier league. All fans predicted that Liverpool will have the home crowd advantage and still can’t say Manchester United will be affected by this factor. With the start of the game, Liverpool was stunned by the swift goal from Carlos Tevez in the 3rd minute of the game. But it was soon equalized when Wes Brown accidentally scored an own goal against his team. Babel scored the second goal for them team in 76th minute to crush the Manchester United victory over Liverpool. Great assist from Xabi Alonso. Good game for Liverpool as a team effort from all the players. They were continuously cheered by the home crowd whatever happened in the game.
