Birth of Liverpool Football Club

The club was formed in 1892 and it came up as a popular and powerful team in the whole of England. It has won five championships between the periods of 1900 and 1947. Though the team was powerful in many respects, still, it has to stay in second league for long time in the late 1950’s. The team finally reached the first class championships after Bill Shankly came to the club as a great manager in 1959. Liverpool is the most successful club in the history of English football. The club has won eighteen first division titles greater than any other English football clubs. The club has won five European Cups, which is an English record and the FA Cup seven times. Under Shankly's management, Liverpool won three League Championship titles, two FA Cups and a UEFA Cup. Though the team suffered by many factors at the end of 1990’s, the team came back with full strength at the start of the millennium.
