Liverpool Stadium

The famous football club of Liverpool was found as a result of a long dispute between the Everton football club and Houlding, who was the lease holder of the Anfield stadium during that period. When Houlding raised the rent for the Everton club, they refused to oblige to their demands and moved to their own stadium at Goodison Park. In order to entertain the home crowd and also utilize the vacated stadium, Houlding formed the Liverpool football club. When the football association refused to recognize this team as Everton football club, the team was named as the Liverpool football club. The club won the Lancashire League in their first season, and successfully applied to join the Second Division for the following season. In this way, the Reds came into the Premier League history of England. The reason for the success of the team in the middle of the century rested heavily on Bill Shankly who came up as the effective manager for this club.
