Liverpool frustrated with a draw
A lot of confidence is gained from the victory over the championship side. This week, Liverpool has to face newcomer of Premier League, Stoke’s city. As this match took place in Anfield, all the fans expected this game to be a narrow win for Liverpool. In the second minute of the game, Gerrard shot the ball to the back of the net with a free kick from 100 yards. But the referee rejected the goal as Kuyt found himself in an offside position. Stoke city displayed a wonderful team effort and experience. They frustrated Liverpool with their accurate passes. The first half ended goalless for both the teams. Goalkeeper of Stoke city played exceptionally well and saved crosses and kept his team active in the game. With two teams ended with a goalless play, the game was drawn. It is a great achievement for stoke city. It became a frustrating game for Liverpool to draw with them among the home crowd.
